Taking Care of Business Donut Deliveries bring one dozen complimentary donuts to your business, delivered by people with intellectual disabilities supported by Progress. The donut delivery team is comprised of a small group who would like to learn more about the community and local businesses. Frequently Asked Questions
When will the delivery occur?
Deliveries typically take place Wednesdays between 8:30 am and 1:00 pm. We will schedule a delivery time that is convenient with you, in advance.
Who should receive the delivery?
As a delivery recipient, all that we ask is that there are staff members present who can participate in the exchange, as well as someone to explain what your business does, and be able to answer any questions made by the delivery team. A brief site tour, if applicable, can provide additional learning experience. And then, enjoy your donuts!
How does the program make a difference?
Progress provides many vital programs to people with intellectual disabilities, including employment programs. By providing a site visit, you assist us in “pre-vocational training,” which helps individuals gain confidence in their skills as they explore a path to greater independence. Connection to the community is vital for all of us, and new experiences help foster growth, pride and self-esteem. By receiving a donut delivery, you help people with disabilities advance on their path to independence.
How much does a delivery cost?
There is no charge to receive a Taking Care of Business delivery. We encourage you to share a photo on social media if possible, and tag Progress (Facebook: @ProgressNashville, Instagram: @ProgressIncNashville, Twitter: @ProgressNash), in order to help us spread the word about the program. We are always looking for new places to deliver, and community awareness is a big help to our mission.
